Chef Amanda Schonberg Episode 69

I am celebrating 100,000 downloads and I need your help! This week I am sharing a new way for you to get involved with the podcast.

100k is huge and I so grateful to God for each and every one of you! One of the things I love about the podcast is hearing from all of you all across the globe. So to make sure I am serving you better going forward I have included a feedback form and we have a cool new look too!

In this weeks episode we will cover:

  • How to submit feedback for what you would like to see on the podcast
  • (you can do so by clicking here
  • Why I love you guys so much! (like seriously, you guys are awesome sauce!)
  • And what to expect moving forward.

Speaker 1:

Hey, sweet friends, my name is Chef Schaumburg. I started my baking business with the bottle of DeCerono and one Bundt Cake Pan. Fast forward to today, from news to magazines, speaking on national stages and more. I can truly say that baking has changed my life. So now, as a bakery business coach, I get to help others have the same success. I've helped hundreds of my students across the world in my global membership program create six-figure businesses, mainly from home.

Speaker 1:

The Baking for Business podcast is an extension of that, from actionable tips to valuable tools and resources that can impact you as a business owner. I truly believe y'all. We would never have been given a gift if we couldn't profit and prosper from it. So come on, darling. What are you waiting for? Hey you guys, and welcome to my podcast party. Woohoo, I love having parties. I had a party when we made it here, and today is very special because a little while ago I was waiting on the time to actually share with you guys, but we reached the 100,000 download mark and for me that is amazing. It's definitely a big milestone to reach in podcasting and it's just the beginning. I've only been doing this a little over a year, but to reach that mark I'm truly grateful and humble and excited, and so today's podcast episode is going to be really short, just because I have a few things that I want to discuss with you guys. So it's a party, come on in. It's a party slash meeting. I mean. It's a party because I'm excited, I'm hyped, but it's a meeting because we're here to talk and address some things, and so just a few things.

Speaker 1:

I don't see the podcast changing much. That's the first thing. There are two changes, but I think you guys are going to love them. So the first is that I am accepting feedback from all of you. As I reach 100,000 downloads. I realized I could not do that without the help, without the love, without the support of you guys, who share this podcast. You send it to a friend, you tag me on Instagram and your stories, and I love it when you guys are listening to the episodes, and so one way to just make sure that you guys are being heard is I actually created a feedback form. It only takes 30 seconds, real quick, but it's just making sure that I'm taking care of you guys, because I have a heart to serve, and that's what this podcast is really all about showing up every week whether it's me or an amazing guest that we've had on the podcast and just finding a way to talk about our business in a whole.

Speaker 1:

One of the greatest comments that I got from someone was that I love that you always talk about the mindset of why we struggle with what we struggle with. And I do that because it's so important, because too often we're running businesses and we don't address ourselves as a whole. You know, you're a whole human that has your own goals spiritual goals, financial goals and being a business owner is just a part of that. And also, if we don't celebrate the ups and downs, if we don't talk about the ups and downs and really, truly the reasons behind them, we won't get better as a person or as a business owner and we won't grow stronger as a community. And so, to make sure that I'm doing my part in doing that, if you look in the show notes of this episode, wherever you're listening, there's a feedback form, and the reason why I put it there is simply so that you guys and it'll stay there also you guys can just tell me what you want. I make sure that I'm serving you to the best of my ability and also that we're bringing guests. If there's anyone who you know in your community who is an amazing home baker, storefront owner, trailer cupcake person I've seen it all you know let me know. Fill out that form. You can provide feedback and let's make sure we get their stories shared.

Speaker 1:

I also always wanted, when I envision this podcast, I always wanted it to be diverse and to have a form of inclusivity, and I feel like we've hit that on the head. We've had so many different men and women from amazing backgrounds, amazing nationalities, different regions all across the world. You guys listen all across the world and I'm grateful for that, and so let's keep that up. And then the second change is you may notice the cover has changed a little bit, but you might have. I don't want you being like, oh Lord, she made her face bigger. What is Chef Sean Burke do? No, I promise it's not that, it's not all about me.

Speaker 1:

When I first made the podcast, I had a time limit and I didn't reach my time limit, so I had created the old cover on my own, but I did Take the professional photo I share. In the past even I struggle with putting this podcast out there, and so to see the success that it has reached really warms my heart. But to treat myself, I said I'm gonna update my podcast cover and so if you look at the cover now, don't look at it if you're driving. But the cover now is really special to me for one reason because, if you notice, there's a lot of little emblems in the background and Little icons and that, to me, is all of you guys, and so to celebrate that's. The only Change is that I got the cover professionally done.

Speaker 1:

Number one and number two each little item represents one of you guys. So I'm looking at it right now. There's a Bread, there's some chocolates, there's a rolling pin, there's a pretzel, there's croissants, there's a cupcake, there's a whisk, and it kind of looks like they repeat but really they don't as it curves around like different little things just pop out. There's even lettuce, like even a little curl, like a slice of cheese, because there are so many people in the Charcuterie industry who actually listen they tell me all the time there are people with food trucks who actually listen this I wanted all of you guys to be represented and so just take this cover, as I wish I can give all you guys a hug. I really do, but this is just a way of going forward, saying I want to make sure that I carry every single person With me. It doesn't matter if you make up macaroon, it doesn't matter what you made, I just want to make sure that you're represented and I hope I'm doing my part in doing that, and so that's what this new cover means to me.

Speaker 1:

And obviously, because the intro always talks about how I started my business with the pound cake, I thought I may as well actually hold a piece of cake, and so this is just celebration cake. I hope you enjoy it with me. Whatever you're baking this week, tag me in it. If you want to say Congratulations to me, I greatly appreciate it. Please do so, because I couldn't be here without you guys and I really really do appreciate you guys going forward, like I stated, the feedback form less than 30 seconds. Please fill it out so that I can make sure I am putting your needs first.

Speaker 1:

The change cover that's it. The only other thing. There may be some ads on the podcast going forward, and that's about all, because it's free for you guys to listen. But if there are other companies out there that have products and services and things that can help and pour into you guys, then I would love for them to have a safe space and a platform to share. And so that's it. That is all for today's episode.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, I don't want to cry if you go on and on. I really do. Thank you guys for the moving back. I appreciate all of you guys. If you're not following me on Instagram, please do so, because I share daily motivation and just tips and inspiration there, so you can tag me on Instagram at BakingCoreBusiness. I do have a special thing that's going to be coming out this weekend, but I'll share that with you guys later to celebrate the podcast. But other than that, keep listening, keep growing, but more than anything, fill out that form and let me know what you need so that going forward, I can 1,000% make sure that you're getting it Alright.

Speaker 1:

Thanks so much, all of you guys, for listening. I pray you have a blessed week. To end this with one of my favorite scriptures, john 14. Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God, but believe also in me and by me I don't mean me as Amanda, but that's just what the scripture says. But just don't want you guys to be troubled about anything as we grow our business. I know sometimes it could be rocky. There are a lot of ups and downs. Just continue to keep the faith, continue to believe. I'm going to continue to believe in you guys and keep showing up week after week so that I can serve you. Alright, take care and bye for now.
